Technology-Integrated Lesson Plan

This assignment was definitely a challenge for me, as I have never really dealt with lesson plans before. However, it did help that I recently went to a job training session at NASA that dealt with lesson plans, and that is also where I got the idea to use the Eyes on the Solar System application. It doesn't go as in-depth as their website itself does on the straight facts, but it is an awesome visual experience that I think students of all ages would enjoy exploring. 

I did notice that not many lesson plans that I looked up actually required the use of technology, so I think that that is something that will be interesting to watch as I move forward on my path to becoming a teacher. Will more and more lesson plans begin to integrate new technology, or will they stay simple  and adaptable to fit a wider range of student and teacher accessibility? 

With that in mind, I think that this assignment is a perfect example of working on standard two of the NETS for Teachers. The new age of learning that is being ushered in will require educators to either adapt current plans or design entirely new ones to accommodate the wealth of technology that more and more students are gaining access to.
